In the interest of providing health care to our communities, we are organizing another 20-hour street medic training.
Please plan to attend the entire course. There are breaks on Sat and Sun to allow you to tend to your lives, but the training is one event.
This ~20 hour course is designed to provide the participants with basic first aid skills, as well as specialized skills focused on protest situations.
Skills taught are patient assessment, treatment for wounds, head/neck injuries, illnesses/allergic reactions, heat and cold concerns, chemical burns, “less lethal” weapons injuries, when to seek higher medical care, and general preparedness for changing or unpredictable situations.
If you are a member of a traditionally marginalized community, please include that information as you are comfortable in your RSVP and we will prioritize your registration.
When: Friday April 28th, 2017 5:00pm-9:00pm;
Saturday April 29th, 2017 9:00am-12:00p, 1:00pm-6:00pm;
Sunday April 30th, 2017 9:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-6:00pm
Where: We are working on a location, but it will be in Mpls/St. Paul.
